Gather ‘round, soldiers! We need everyone to line up for a very special Mail Call missive!

After much discussion and debate, your Anonymous COs have decided that the Loose Lips Sink Ships Prompt Meme has seen her finest fighting days, and so we will be decommissioning her on September 2d, 2021.

She carried this fandom through more than 170 fills and 1000 prompts in her short two years of service, and we could not have asked her to do a more admirable job.

The meme will remain open for prompts until that fateful date of September 2d, after which there will be no further Prompts of the Day on our Tumblr, and all relevant bots and chat channels hosted on the Discord server run by our sister community, Heavy Artillery, will be shut down and/or archived. The website and prompts list will remain up as a memorial, and the masterlist will stay open, should anyone get a wild hair to fill one of the prompts left to stand tribute.

Thank you all for fighting alongside us these past two years. We could not retire in better company.
